Quarter Sawn White Oak - Finish Guide

Quarter Sawn White Oak  is created by first cutting the log into quarters and then slicing the quartered portion so that the growth rings intersect the face of the board at a 90 to 60 degree angle. This grain appears quite straight with pronounced flecking. Color variations ranging from greenish-grey-brown to almost white sapwood accent the wavy, flake-like grain pattern.

While we do not feature quarter sawn white oak as part of our standard finish palette, all finishes are available through our custom color match service.
