Signature Details

Nicks, Dents & Screw Marks

An affect created by striking the entire wood surface randomly with tools to create the effect of wear over time. Marks will vary in depth, shape and placement.

Corner Wear

Worn outside corners of the panels and frames of doors, drawer fronts, decorator ends, and integral end panels.

Worm Holes

Small holes that are in random groups of elliptical patterns. Simulates past insect penetration of the wood. These can appear on the fronts of doors, drawer fronts, end panels, finished interiors, and moldings

Simulated Cracks

Simulated splits, cracks, and check marks that occur with the seasonal changes in humidity and stress cracks from years of use. The crack runs with the grain of the wood and appears on the front of the panels and frames of doors, drawer fronts, decorator ends, and integral end panels.

Rasping

 Heavy severe wear on the outside edges and applied molding of doors and drawer fronts.

The intensity or depth of the markings can range from light to aggressive. 
Samples of the distressing will be provided and must be approved before the onset of production.

Signature Details are available with all of Seville’s finishes. Distressing details can be made more apparent with the use of glaze and therefore is recommended as part of the finish. Viewing a sample door with the specified detail and finish is highly recommended.

Signature Details are available for Alder, Rustic Alder, Cherry, Rustic Cherry, Hickory, Rustic Hickory, Maple and paint grade Maple woods only. No Oak or MDF doors, panels, or parts.

Randomly placed nicks, screw marks and dents

Fairfax

Randomly placed nicks, dents, screw marks, and corner wear.

Roxbury

Randomly placed nicks, screw marks, dents, corner wear, worm holes, simulated cracks, and rasping.

Signature Details for Painted Finishes

Saxton

Randomly placed nicks, dents, screw marks, and corner wear.

Dover

Randomly placed nicks, dents, screw marks, corner wear, worm holes, simulated cracks, and rasping.

Quincy

Randomly placed nicks, dents, screw marks, corner wear, worm holes, simulated cracks, rasping with Heirloom Detail added (see below).

Additional Signature Details

Heirloom

Profiles on the fronts of doors and drawer fronts are rubbed through to expose the raw wood underneath. This is available in both glazed and non-glazed finishes.

Vintage

The specified stain finish is first covered with a black stain. This stain is rubbed through in random spots to expose the specified finish underneath. This is applied to the fronts of doors, drawer fronts, end panels, finished interiors, and moldings.

We’re thrilled to showcase the stunning work of designers, architects, and builders who are shaping the future of these essential spaces. Get ready to be inspired by the exceptional designs that blend style, functionality, and creativity! The contest will feature two different categories that you can enter, either kitchen or bath designs.

Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded in each the kitchen and bath category.

First Place – $1000
Second Place – $500
Third Place – $250

Prize dollars will be awarded as a 50/50 split between the dealer and the designer.

About the Contest

All 1st-3rd place winners’ photography and design will be featured on all Seville marketing materials for 2026.

Judging Criteria
Judges will select winners on the basis of aesthetics, functionality, originality, design details and space planning. Judges will be from the Seville leadership team.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Any new or remodeled residential kitchen or bath in which the cabinetry was ordered and the job was completed between 1/1/2025 and 12/1/25.
  • Project/job must use the installation of Seville or Lucerne cabinetry.
  • Seville obtains all rights to use all and any photos submitted in the contest.
  • Entrants must be a Seville dealer or designer affiliated with a Seville dealer.
  • Unlimited submissions per designer/dealer.
  • All entries must be submitted via the online form found at Seville.com/awards by 12/1/25. 

Timeline

  • Kitchen and/or bath cabinetry must be ordered and installed, and the job must be completed between 1/1/2025 and 12/1/25.
  • Announcement and communication of the launch/opening of the awards program will take place on 1/7/2025 via email and social media. 
  • A flyer will be created for reps to distribute.
  • Announcement will link to a web page on Seville.com that is dedicated to details of the contest and includes the submission form.
  • All entries must be submitted via the online form found at Seville.com/awards by 12/1/25. 
  • Winner in each category will be selected and announced by 12/31/25. 
  • Prizes will be awarded for first through third place winners in the form of a check by 1/15/26.  Prizes will be awarded to the submission entrant – dealer or designer.
